Quiet Inspiration... flight training with no engines!
Our own Col Gary Walston will give us an update on the CFIP and changes we are making this year to inspire more young people to consider military aviation!

Walston, an ROTC DG, was a T-38 UPT and PIT instructor, then joined the Texas Guard where he served as an IP in the F-101 and T-33 in the F-101/F102 schoolhouse in Houston. After a tour in AF/XOO as the ANG Advisor to the Rated Distribution & Training Management program a in NGB/PRM as the ANG Manpower Chief, he returned to the Dallas Air Guard as the unit converted to the C-130 and served as an IP and ADO until being selected as the Commander of the 149th Fighter Group where he flew the F-46 and F-16. Retiring in 1995 Walston is active with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the USO, and, the Daedalians where he serves and National Secretary. His real job though is to the Stinsons Flight CFIP program officer, a labor of thorough enjoyment.

Our own Col Gary Walston gave a recap of some of our recent CFIP participants and let us know what was changing for this year. Some "cadets" will receive instruction in gliders this year.
