Marc Liebman is a retired Navy Captain and Naval Aviator who flew combat missions in three wars – Vietnam, the Tanker Wars of the 80s and Desert Shield/Storm. He has five novels in print – Big Mother 40, Cherubs 2, Render Harmless, Inner Look, and Forgotten. All involve aviation and two – Big Mother 40 and Cherubs 2 are based on Marc's experience flying combat search and rescue missions during the Vietnam War. Flight Captain, Bob McKee, called the March 15, 2017, Le May 16 Flight, Daedalian Meeting to order 11:30 A.M. at the Knights of Columbus Hall located in Bellevue, NE with 33 members and 1 guest present. Jim Thompson offered the invocation and Bob McKee led the Pledge of Allegiance. Acting Provost Marshall, Johnny Johnson, offered toasts. A chicken cordon bleu entree or chef’s salad was served. Following the meal, U.S. Navy aviator and author, Marc Liebman gave an interesting presentation. He has written five novels based on his experience flying search and rescue missions during the Vietnam War. His presentation gave detailed descriptions of naval rotary wing aircraft and their capabilities along with his personal experiences flying these aircraft in Vietnam. He had copies of his books which were available for sale. Bill Moses won the Scholarship Fund “give away” at this meeting and he donated it back to the flight.
