Cadet Flight Indoctrination Program (CFIP)
Big Sky Flight 99 is now seeking applicants for its first year of Flight Training Scholarship Awards. CFIP's objective is to motivate young people to serve their country as military pilots. This training occurs annually, in the early summer. The selectee will attend an abbreviated FAA ground school and receive flight instruction from FAA Certified Flight Instructors. The culmination of the training is a solo flight in a Piper Cherokee aircraft at the Great Falls International Airport, performing three full stop landings from the traffic pattern. The candidate must be at least 16 years old by 1 June. Interested students should apply directly to Big Sky Flight 99. The officer in charge is Lt Col Vincent Bakke, USAF (ret).
