USAF CAPT RICH SCHANDA WILL BE OUR SPEAKER
CURRENT ACTIVE DUTY PILOT AND OUR FLIGHT'S FIRST SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT, RICH SCHANDA IS MAKING A SPECIAL TRIP TO VISIT OUR FLIGHT AND TELL US ABOUT FLYING HH-60 BLACK HAWKS "DOWN RANGE". YOU WONT FIND MANY DAEDALIAN FLIGHTS WHO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT WITH A CURRENT WARRIOR IN UNIFORM. THIS ONE IS SPECIAL FOR FLIGHT 102. YOU MUST PUT THIS MEETING ON YOUR SCHEDULE.

Synopsis

probably one of the best meetings we have enjoyed in recent times. Capt Rich Schanda gave an outstanding and most interesting presentation to a little over 40 members and guests. Hearing from an Active Duty airman is one thing; that airman being our Flight's first scholarship recipient over 8 years ago made it that much more special. It was amazing to learn what all Rich has accomplished in the Air Force since that day he received our scholarship. Already on his third operational assignment since pilot training, with several combat deployments "down range" under his belt. Hearing about these deployments, the types of missions he was tasked with under the Combat Rescue umbrella, and learning the capabilities of the HH60 Blackhawk was most interesting. You should have been there.
